Audit Supervisor Responsibilities

As an Audit Supervisor, you’ll oversee multiple engagements while mentoring staff and ensuring high-quality audit delivery:

  • Manage and oversee multiple audit engagements from planning through completion
  • Review work papers, financial statements, and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors
  • Ensure proper risk assessment and evaluation of internal controls
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned engagements
  • Monitor engagement progress, budgets, and deadlines
  • Resolve complex accounting and audit issuesCoordinate with Audit Managers on engagement strategy
  • Provide guidance on GAAP/GAAS application and technical accounting matters
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and performance feedback
Audit Supervisor Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • CPA required or advancement towards status
  • 5–7 years of progressive audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
  • Experience with Fund Accounting a plus
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop staff
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
