Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Carlsbad, CA. In this role, you will handle accounts payable and full‑cycle accounting payment processes and account reconciliations.

• Determine proper GL Code and period for A/P invoices via Dynamics 365 Business Central software.
• Voucher A/P invoices into accounting systems/Concur software.
• Reconcile vendor statements against invoices and receipts.
• Distribute invoices for manager approval.
• Scan paid documents appropriately.
• Conduct telephone and e‑mail correspondence with vendors and employees regarding payments and outstanding invoices/expense reports.
• Complete 1099s annually while maintaining a database on an ongoing basis.
• Perform special projects as needed.

• Prefer an Associate’s degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in accounts payable.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy in processing invoices.
• Ability to learn principles, procedures, and techniques used in the general field.
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
