Job Summary
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for accurate cash management and accurately representing that data on our accounting platforms. Maintaining positive relationships with our internal and external producers and helping identify opportunities for improvements for operational efficiency, process improvement, and accounting concepts.
Position Responsibilities- Providing customer service to both external and internal teams
- Operating in multiple insurance-based accounting platforms
- Posting incoming cash streams through multiple high volume bank accounts
- Invoicing, direct billing, and managing dispute settlement
- Monitoring aged receivables and facilitating collections
- Maintaining financial records for affiliated companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts
- Reconciling general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information
- Providing financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects
- Correcting errors by posting adjusting journal entries
- Maintaining general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts, analyzing and reconciling retainage and accounts payable ledgers
- Maintaining accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
- Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
- Accomplishing accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required; or two to three years related experience and/or training
- Minimum of one year experience in Accounts Receivables
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet recurring monthly deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Willing to work hybrid out of our Carlsbad office, fulltime in office to start
$24.41 – $30.52 USD per hour
