As an Accountant II
, you'll join a collaborative Finance team where you'll play an important role in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations while expanding your experience across a broad range of accounting disciplines. This hybrid position combines the collaboration of working on-site four days each week with the flexibility of one remote workday, allowing you to stay closely connected with your team while maintaining work-life balance.

What You'll Do

As an Accountant II, you'll contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of a growing medical device company by supporting core accounting activities while helping improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our Finance function.

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing journal entries and performing general ledger account reconciliations to ensure complete and accurate financial records.
  • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
  • Preparing customer invoices and supporting the accounts receivable process, including collections and account reconciliations.
  • Processing vendor invoices, payments, and purchase orders while maintaining accurate accounts payable records.
  • Assisting with financial reporting and financial analysis.
  • Supporting revenue recognition and project accounting activities under the guidance of the Senior Accountant.
  • Maintaining fixed asset and intangible asset records, including depreciation and amortization schedules.
  • Investigating account discrepancies, identifying root causes, and recommending practical solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Partnering with colleagues across Finance and other departments to resolve accounting questions and support business initiatives.
  • Supporting additional accounting projects as business needs evolve.
What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing, medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated corporate environment.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, performing general ledger reconciliations, and supporting month-end close.
  • Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and ERP accounting systems (Net Suite experience is strongly preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting recurring deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Experience with project accounting or cost accounting.
  • CPA or CMA certification (or progress toward certification).
