A growing manufacturing company in Carlsbad is seeking an Accountant to support its expanding finance department. This position offers a broad mix of general accounting, inventory, cost accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

It's a strong opportunity for someone who wants to understand how accounting connects to the actual operations of a manufacturing business and who enjoys digging into numbers to understand the story behind them.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

+ Assist with inventory accounting and valuation

+ Review manufacturing costs and investigate variances

+ Reconcile inventory, prepaid, fixed asset, and accrual accounts

+ Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed

+ Prepare financial reports and management schedules

+ Analyze expense trends and account activity

+ Support budgeting and forecasting activities

+ Assist with annual audits and financial requests

+ Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes

Requirements

+ 3-5 years of accounting experience

+ Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting

+ Advanced Excel skills

+ ERP experience such as SAP, Net Suite, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet close deadlines
