Accounts Receivable Specialist

A well-established commercial real estate company is adding an Accounts Receivable Specialist to its accounting team. This role will support a portfolio of properties and requires someone who is comfortable balancing detailed accounting work with regular communication with tenants, property managers, and vendors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond transactional AR and gain exposure to property accounting and real estate operations.

Key Responsibilities Manage receivables for an assigned portfolio of properties

Prepare and review recurring tenant invoices

Post daily rent and other tenant payments

Monitor tenant aging and outstanding balances

Reconcile tenant accounts and monthly statements

Research discrepancies between leases, invoices, and payments

Process credits, adjustments, and account corrections

Communicate with tenants regarding outstanding balances

Partner with property managers to resolve billing issues

Track delinquent accounts and collection activity

Research unapplied cash and unidentified payments

Assist with monthly property-level reporting

Reconcile AR activity to the general ledger

Support month-end and year-end close

Prepare documentation for audits and financial reviews
