Inventory Control Specialist II (Hourly) is a hands‑on, individual contributor responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of inventory across the organization. This role owns physical inventory counts, cycle counts, inventory assessments, and variance resolution—helping keep production running smoothly.
You’ll work directly on the shop floor and partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to solve inventory issues and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives that reduce waste, improve material flow, and strengthen inventory controls. This is an individual contributor role focused on execution, analysis, and process improvement, with no people management responsibilities.
What You Will Do- Partner with the company’s accounts receivables department to ensure that all transactions are being made into account.
- Resolve discrepancies between the amount of inventory and the amount of revenue quickly and accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels very closely and resolve any issues that may become apparent.
- Develop and implement systems for accurately managing inventory.
- Ensure seamless movement of products and inventory.
- Maintain records regarding inventory control, intake and sales.
- Report to upper management regularly and provide recommendations for better inventory control.
- Assist in inventory deliveries and shipment of inventory as required.
- Order new inventory from manufacturers as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Occasional domestic travel is required to support business operations, team collaboration, and onsite initiatives, estimated at approximately 10% of the role.
Requirements What Do You Have:- Bachelor’s Degree:
Supply Chain Management/Logistics or Business Administration/Accounting; or High School Diploma and equivalent work‑related experience. - Minimum 5 years’ related inventory experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Suite.
- Demonstrates the ability to pay very close attention to detail and immediately notice any discrepancies regarding inventory and finances.
- Advanced knowledge of data analytics using Excel and inventory control software, and ability to produce reports in these programs.
- Shows the ability to solve complex problems individually and quickly.
- Must be able to communicate well with others in order to implement inventory control plans.
- Shows professionalism, particularly when working with clients and customers or other departments within the company.
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Experience in Net Suite is a plus, but not necessary.
- WMS experience a plus.
- This job is operated in a professional office and warehouse environment with standard working hours; however, occasional after‑hours support may be required.
- This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- The position requires frequent interaction with employees across different departments, requiring strong collaboration and communication skills.
- The role may involve standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
