Job Title: Senior Director of Market Development

Salary: $170,000-$220,000/year + bonus, based on experience
Reports To: VP of Strategy

The Senior Director of Market Development is an autonomous, highly organized, results-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing company. Business Operational Practices
- Implement standard business operational practices (time management, task planning, task management, goal/objective tracking, self-implemented organizational practices, reporting and proactive planning)
Developing and executing a clearly defined market growth strategy
- Work in direct collaboration with VP of Strategy to develop and implement the market growth strategy, outlining specific industry sectors, targets and associated volume projections for each.
- Maintain monthly tracking of YTD acquisitions relative to annual goals.
- Provide monthly pipeline and market report to the executive leadership team.
Executing a clear process for business acquisition
- Penetrate target geographic markets.
- Penetrate target industry sectors.
- Penetrate target clients.
- Penetrate target business generators.
- Utilize pipeline/opportunity tracking system to identify opportunities, status and next steps.
- Maintain organized tracking system and real-time knowledge of project status and next step(s).
- Self-accountability for follow through and execution.
Opportunity Generation and Execution
- Generate new opportunities for the company (people and projects).
- Maintain an organized and targeted weekly calendar.
- Move opportunities through the sales process from inception to signed contract.
- Coordinate an organized and efficient Go‑No‑Go process.
- Develop proposals and presentations.
- Close on opportunities (signed contracts).
Internal Communications
- Provide a consistent flow of information to internal department heads (Preconstruction, Marketing, Project Management and VP of Strategy).
Managing the Client Experience
- Maintain constant contact with client to sustain relationship.
- Deliver high quality client experiences.
- Coordinate interaction with Preconstruction and clients.
- Accurate and timely estimates.
- Client Interaction.
- Ability to convey pricing information, Preconstruction processes, and contract delivery methods.
- Draft and secure Preconstruction agreements.
- Ability to convey historical pricing data.
Continual knowledge of Trends and Forecasts (“Student of the Trade”)

Working directly with the Director of Marketing to develop best‑in‑class content and collateral
- Website, deliverables, proposals, presentations, industry articles, expert voice, white papers.
- Hold weekly meeting with Director of Marketing.
External Activities
- Serve on industry boards.
- Be involved in the community.
- Be a member of appropriate organizations – NAIOP, CREW, ULI, ICSC, etc.
- Participate in industry events.
Assist VP of Strategy by
- Autonomously running day‑to‑day Market Development operations and processes.
- Bi-monthly pipeline reporting to senior leadership and attending bi-monthly meetings.
- Focus on the big picture of market trends and implement actions to position the company for success.
- Identify operating inefficiencies.
Think strategically regarding customers, competitors and markets. - Assist in formulating long‑term and short‑term business plans.
