Job Overview
Pacific Coast Construction and Waterproofing Inc is seeking an experienced and driven Working Foreman to lead residential and commercial reconstruction and remodeling projects. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with team leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily jobsite operations, ensuring alignment with plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Lead the team from the front, providing hands-on mentorship and guidance.
- Manage multiple jobs at different phases, balancing priorities effectively.
- Construction Expertise:
- Perform hands-on tasks, including framing, building, laying out rafters, stairs, decks, and roof pitch.
- Work directly from blueprints, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Build scaffolding, work at heights, and ensure all team members follow strict safety protocols.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings while maintaining detailed logs.
- Client and Team Communication:
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and the management team.
- Be client-facing and articulate, capable of discussing project progress and addressing concerns professionally.
- Resource and Equipment Management:
- Coordinate materials, labor, and schedules to maintain project efficiency.
- Ensure all tools, materials, and safety equipment are used correctly and available as needed.
- Own a truck to start, with the potential for a company vehicle (ability to pull a trailer is a plus).
- Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in reconstruction and remodeling, with expertise in building, framing, and finishing carpentry.
- Knowledge of plans, blueprints, and construction techniques, with the ability to work directly from drawings.
- Experience in finish and cabinet work is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results.
- Leadership Abilities:
- Exceptional team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor.
- Comfortable conducting safety meetings and ensuring adherence to OSHA standards.
- Communication and Professionalism:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with clients and stakeholders.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Tools and Equipment:
- Possess personal carpentry and building tools.
- Comfortable working at heights and with scaffolding and ladders.
