Summary
The General Superintendent is a senior field construction leader responsible for promoting consistent execution, quality, safety, accountability, and construction best practices across JN Beach Construction projects. The position serves as a technical resource and field leader to Superintendents, Project Managers, construction leadership, subcontractors, and other project partners throughout the lifecycle of each project. The General Superintendent brings deep general contracting and field construction expertise across trades, construction means and methods, sequencing, constructability, safety, quality control, scheduling, inspections, and project turnover.
The role regularly visits active and upcoming jobsites to evaluate construction practices and project conditions, identify risks, coach field teams, resolve or elevate issues, and reinforce Company standards. This position works collaboratively across field and office teams and provides functional leadership, technical direction, coaching, and accountability to project personnel, including situations where the General Superintendent does not have direct reporting authority.
Success requires the ability to build credibility with experienced construction professionals, communicate directly and constructively, influence behavior, and hold teams accountable to established expectations. Significant travel is an essential component of the position, with approximately 75% travel anticipated, including regular overnight travel to projects throughout California, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, and other markets in which the Company operates.

Field Leadership & Technical Oversight
- Serve as a senior technical and field construction resource across multiple projects, providing guidance on construction means and methods, sequencing, constructability, trade coordination, quality, safety, scheduling, and field execution.
- Regularly walk active jobsites and evaluate overall project conditions, workmanship, production, safety, schedule performance, site organization, documentation, and compliance with Company standards.
- Provide technical guidance across major construction disciplines and trades, including sitework and civil, structural systems, framing, building envelope and waterproofing, MEP systems, finishes, life safety, and project turnover.
- Identify field conditions, constructability concerns, coordination issues, or deficiencies that may affect safety, quality, schedule, scope, or cost and work collaboratively with project teams to establish appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform constructability reviews of plans, specifications, schedules, logistics plans, and other project documentation before and during construction.
