As an Instructional Aide Substitute, you will:
- Deliver academic, behavioral, and social assistance within the classroom setting.
- Provide personalized 1:1 or small-group support as directed by school personnel.
- Help students manage daily routines, transitions, and full participation in classroom activities.
- Implement behavior plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable.
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as required.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students.
To be considered, you’ll need:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Age 18 or older.
- Ability to meet local school TB testing requirements.
- Physical capacity to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed.
- Willingness to obtain (or already hold) current school-mandated clearances.
Preferred candidates will have:
- Previous experience in a classroom, special education, behavioral health, or child care setting.
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
- CPI, PMT, or RBT certification (helpful, but not required).
- Reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit.
