As an Instructional Aide Substitute, you will:

  • Deliver academic, behavioral, and social assistance within the classroom setting.
  • Provide personalized 1:1 or small-group support as directed by school personnel.
  • Help students manage daily routines, transitions, and full participation in classroom activities.
  • Implement behavior plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable.
  • Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as required.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students.

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Age 18 or older.
  • Ability to meet local school TB testing requirements.
  • Physical capacity to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed.
  • Willingness to obtain (or already hold) current school-mandated clearances.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Previous experience in a classroom, special education, behavioral health, or child care setting.
  • Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
  • CPI, PMT, or RBT certification (helpful, but not required).
  • Reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit.
