Hourly Application

While this is typically an internal application, CUSD is currently extending the opportunity to external candidates for specific positions. This application is for 'HOURLY' Applicants ONLY, in both Certificated and Classified positions, with or without a Teaching Credential. These positions provide additional curriculum support across multiple subjects areas, including CUSD's Art Programs. (This application is 'Password-protected' which will be provided by the Principal for access.)

A copy of your 'signed' Social Security Card >

A copy of a current driver's license >

A copy of a TB test result, with read date (Less than 4 years old, Risk assessments are not accepted for first-time applicants.) >

A copy of your valid CA Teaching Credential (if applicable) >

Certificated Fingerprints in SDCOE's Clearinghouse (if applying with a Teaching Credential) >

Fill out all sections, especially "Work Experience" (resumes won't substitute). Candidates who complete the application in full will be contacted to discuss next steps. JPA Trainings in Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment are required through CUSD or with valid proof from another district. Upon approval of a completed application, you will be required to: 1.) Submit to Live Scan Fingerprinting for Non-Teaching Positions (forms will be provided upon approval of your application) 2.) Receive clearance from the Personnel Department

Upon approval of your application and cleared fingerprints, your name will be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval at their next scheduled meeting. Once you have been Board approved, Carlsbad Unified School District will email you complete details of your status. You are NOT permitted to begin working at any CUSD school site until this process is complete.
