Instructional Support Teacher Not Regular - Jefferson Elementary

Job Title

Provides targeted academic support for students through evidence-based small-group instruction designed to meet a range of learning needs, including intervention, strategic support, and enrichment. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers and school teams, this role uses ongoing assessment and student data to plan, deliver, and adjust instruction that accelerates student growth while maintaining strong connections to Tier 1 classroom learning. The ideal candidate has expertise in the Science of Reading, evidence-based literacy practices, and high-quality instructional pedagogy.

They are collaborative, flexible, and data-informed, with a commitment to ensuring every student receives the responsive support and appropriate level of challenge needed to become a confident, successful learner.

1. Resume (with reason for leaving each job. If you don't include that, then fill out the work history section) 2. Two Letters of Recommendation 3. A valid copy of your teaching credential (if applicable) 4. Mandatory Employment Disclosure section MUST be complete
5. Driver's license or valid d on I-9 form ALL required documents must be attached to edjoin by the closing date in order to be considered.

Things that will be collected at a later date, but before hiring:

- Copy of current negative TB test result (Less than 4 yrs old, no risk assessments will be accepted) - Fingerprints
- Copy of signed Social Security Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Upon completion of your application, new hire packet, SB848 or AB2534 history, and cleared fingerprints, your name will be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval at their next scheduled meeting. Once you have been Board approved, Carlsbad Unified School District will email you complete details of your status. You are NOT permitted to begin working at any CUSD school site until this process is complete.
