We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated educational team in Carlsbad, NM. Responsibilities- Reviewing and providing feedback on IEPs, goals, accommodations, modifications, and progress monitoring practices.
- Supporting special education teachers with instructional planning and specially designed instruction.
- Providing coaching and technical assistance regarding IDEA requirements and IEP implementation.
- Assisting with transition planning and compliance-related documentation.
- Supporting new and developing special education teachers through mentoring and consultation.
- Delivering virtual professional development and training.
- Collaborating with district coordinators and administrators to identify and address areas of need.
- Assisting in the development of systems and practices that improve implementation fidelity and student outcomes.
- They must have a special education teaching license.
- New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) License
- Valid state teaching credential in Special Education
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience within the past 5 years
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and implementation.
- Experience supporting teachers and special education programs across multiple campuses.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience providing coaching, consultation, and professional development.
- Know and understand how to facilitate MDRs
