Job Overview
This is the #2 role on the supply chain team and a execution leader responsible for running day-to-day contract manufacturing and supplier execution within the strategy defined by the Head of Supply Chain.. You will run day-to-day contract manufacturing (CM) execution and drive Tier 2 sourcing and procurement across PCBA and electromechanical components. Together, we will divide and conquer across suppliers, build readiness, quoting, and launch execution to de-risk an aggressive SOP timeline and build a scalable foundation for growth.
You will be trusted to operate independently with suppliers and CMs while staying tightly aligned with the Head of Supply Chain on strategy, sequencing, and major commercial commitments.

- You thrive in ambiguity and protect schedule without sacrificing long-term manufacturability

- You require stable requirements and mature processes before engaging suppliers or committing schedules
- You are primarily an ERP/planning/process optimization leader rather than a supplier execution leader
What you'll do
Contract Manufacturing execution (day-to-day owner)
- Run day-to-day execution with contract manufacturers across schedule, build readiness, open issues, and escalation management
- Own the CM operating cadence: weekly calls, action registers, performance reviews, and clear internal readouts
- Lead key portions of CM sourcing and down-select activities: RFI/RFP issuance, bid management, quote normalization, and scorecard-driven recommendations, in partnership with the Head of Supply Chain
- Drive NPI execution with CMs: DFM feedback loops, build events, pilot readiness, issue triage, containment, rework plans, and corrective actions
- Partner closely with engineering to translate design intent into manufacturing‑ready documentation, requirements, and quality gates
Commercial negotiations (lead negotiator, partnered approvals)
- Lead supplier and CM commercial negotiations (pricing, lead times, MOQs, tooling/NRE, payment terms, warranties where applicable)
- Build clean cost narratives and tradeoffs (cost vs schedule vs risk) to support decisions
- Use the Head of Supply Chain as an escalation partner and final‑approval point for major commitments, non‑standard terms, and long‑term agreements
Tier 2 sourcing and procurement (shared initially, scaling with team growth)
- Partner with the Head of Supply Chain to cover Tier 2 sourcing and procurement during the early phase, with ownership split based on critical path and timing
- Lead RFQs, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations for assigned commodities across PCBA, mechanicals, magnetics, and related electromechanical components
- Drive BOM and AVL discipline: revision control, supplier change communication, approved alternates, and clean release packages
- Build cost transparency: cost breakdowns, tooling/NRE, lead time drivers, MOQs, and should‑cost ranges where useful
