Job DescriptionAre you a highly skilled Lead Product Systems Integration Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technology in the defense and aerospace industries? Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in advancing our Next Generation Tactical Data Link (NGTDL) product line. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborate with top-tier customers, and make a significant impact in the field.
The Lead Product Systems Integration Engineer will support the design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of L3H products onto customer platforms. Additionally, they will support products throughout their lifecycle including initial design through production and sustainment.
- Drive and support high-impact demonstrations at trade shows and customer sites, showcasing our NGTDL products.
- Seamlessly integrate NGTDL products onto various platforms, including aircraft, ground vehicles, and ISR systems.
- Work closely with customers to ensure successful integration of TDL into their systems, providing expert technical support which includes addressing RFIs related to hardware, software, and integration.
- Conduct internal development and rigorous testing, including demonstrations and validation of NGTDL software applications.
- Maintain equipment inventory and support business development activities, contributing to the growth and success of our product line.
- Provide Technical support for production and maintenance, repair, and operations.
- Address product technical inquiries. Maintain and update Engineering documents such as ICDDs and O&M documents.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time to support customer integrations, demonstrations, and other project-related activities.
- Strong systems engineering and/or software development skills.
- Strong understanding of both electrical and hardware ICD documents. Must be able to decipher integration requirements from these ICDs.
- Experience supporting a Government Customer (Technical Inquiries, Product Support).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 5 years of experience with tactical data link systems including radio systems (MIDS, STT, BATS-E 1500S, BATS-E 2000, BATS-D, etc.), host systems and military communication protocols.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Several years of experience in systems engineering, software development, or a related field, particularly within the defense or aerospace industry.
- Several years of experience supporting one or multiple product lines (Depot, Production, Sustainment).
- Experience supporting production/operations or depot.
- Basic understanding of RF systems and the test equipment used to analyze spectrum.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
