Overview
A world leader in water treatment solutions, IDE specializes in the development, engineering, construction and operation of desalination, water reuse, and industrial water treatment plants.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the Power network and equipment of the Plants operated and maintained by IDE Americas.
- Overseeing Status and well-functioning of MV and LV
- Power network and Switchgear
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
- Reduced Voltage Soft Starters (RVSS)
- Develop and follow up on the Maintenance Repair and Replacement Plan (MRRP) for electrical equipment
- Develop a migration work plan for discontinued equipment models
- Propose actions, upgrades, and modifications to ensure the reliability of the plant power network and equipment.
- Configure and commission new drives
- Lead the diagnostics equipment and repaired faulty equipment.
- Provide engineering support to electricians in routine preventative maintenance
- Evaluate preventative maintenance work orders and reports and propose improvements where necessary.
- Liaison with vendors, sub-contractors, and electricity providers.
- Prepare and upgrade records, including drawings.
- Experience with MV/LV equipment in the manufacturing industry, preferably the process industry or generating plant.
- Experienced with configuration, commissioning, and the maintenance of both MV and LV VFDs, RVSS, and switch gear
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an equivalent position, preferably in a continuous process or generating plant.
- Strong analytical skills focused on LV VFDs, RVSS, and switch gear diagnostics and maintenance.
- Familiar with AutoCAD.
- Ability to work in a demanding and busy environment.
- Ability to work independently, involving fieldwork and ability in traveling to other Plant sites when necessary.
- Willing to work long hours, weekends, and holidays and be on call when required.
- Successfully pass a background and drug test.
- Willingness to lend your efforts wherever needed

- Finger dexterity to work keyboard or operate tools, grasp tools and carry objects
- Ability to see in the normal range of vision with or without correction sufficient to read computer screens, documents, dials, gauges, meter-reading equipment, and operate motor vehicles and equipment
- Hear in the normal audio with or without correction
- Industrial environment working both indoors and outdoors continuously around:
- Dust
- Heat
- Salt and fresh water
- Uneven, rough or slippery surfaces
- Hazardous chemicals in solid, liquid, and vapor form
