At Collins Aerospace Optronics, we design and develop high precision optical systems for space and airborne environments and visual displays systems for simulator and body‑worn environments. As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for driving the successful execution of these high‑impact technical programs. This role requires a blend of deep technical knowledge, exceptional program management expertise, and strong communication skills. You will represent Collins in customer meetings and brief program status to senior leadership.
The candidate must possess a solid technical background and be able to guide the team toward resolution when facing complex technical challenges. You must have experience managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, in addition to scope, risks, and opportunities.

What You Will Do- Lead the planning, execution, and final delivery of technical programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and adhering to quality standards.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project and program plans, including scope, budget, resource allocation, risks, opportunities, detailed project schedules, and customer deliverables.
- Build strong relationships, effectively influence and communicate with team members, suppliers, internal and external customers and other key stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects and competing tasks and balance priorities among team members.
- Lead the preparation of bid and proposals efforts in accordance with Collins Aerospace processes, including generation of all bid artifacts.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in all aspects of technical project management.
- Experience in program management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience with delivering technical projects through the entire product development lifecycle.
- Experience with earned value management, budget, and cost control.
- Experience with risk and opportunity management.
- At least 10 years of experience Project Management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with earned value management.
- Prior experience with precision optical or visual display products is highly desired.
- Experience with spaceborne, airborne, or ruggedized optical and/or visual display systems.
- Familiarity with cleanroom practices, electro‑optical, opto‑mechanical and/or optical assembly techniques and best practices.

Salary range: 118, USD.
