The role exists to provide independent and objective input, supporting the development of company intellectual property through steering the chemistry and architecture of highly complex, automated molecular biology workflows from early concept into marketable, profitable platforms and products.
This role will report to a member of the SMT.
- Provide in-depth product-focused technical insights and advice, including diagnosing and resolving intricate technical challenges and defining sustainable solutions, in doing so, supporting delivery of novel sequencing-based diagnostics in-line with product requirements and user needs. This could include:
- Being the strategic sounding board for complex molecular assay architecture, chemistry selection, and workflow design
- Working with a multi-disciplinary team to optimise/streamline complex, sample-to-answer assay workflows, ensuring seamless integration with automated microfluidic architecture
- Supporting troubleshooting initiatives for multi-variant technical failures that cross the boundaries of chemistry, hardware, and software
- Liaising with Regulatory & Quality to ensure all validation activities meet key market and IVDR requirements
- Understanding emerging technologies and the competitive landscape whilst actively contributing to DNAe’s patent portfolio
