Position: Ceramic Matrix Composites - Continuous Improvement Lead (Onsite)

Responsibilities

  • Champion application of Lean, Six Sigma, and Analytics techniques at Pratt & Whitney’s Ceramic Matrix Composite Enterprise and support processes used in the design and manufacturing of ceramic matrix composites.
  • Influence site personnel to integrate CORE methods and tools into daily work, delivering measurable Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost results while improving teamwork, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Communicate with management and the CMC steering committee regarding matters of significant importance.
  • Develop and implement new products, processes, and standards; support QMS procedure creation and improvement related to Continuous Improvement.
  • Improve existing processes and practices and analyze test results to identify process optimals.
  • Become a recognized CORE methods and Analytics expert, supporting site personnel in Kaizens, engagements, projects, and daily work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited university, or an advanced degree with at least 7–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent.
  • US citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • High proficiency in Lean methods and experience delivering value through their application.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments / Taguchi Methods and Design for Six Sigma, with demonstrated success developing robust new processes.
  • Complex process monitoring and analytics expertise.
  • Turbine component and/or composite manufacturing experience.
  • Influence, team‑building, and new facility start‑up experience preferred.
