Compensation: $180,000-$210,000 + Annual Incentive Bonus

Acara Solutions is seeking an RF Engineering Manager to join our client on a full-time direct hire opportunity available in Carlsbad, CA.

• Lead and develop a team of RF engineers, ensuring successful execution of technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Provide technical leadership for RF and mmWave system design, development, and integration across multiple programs.
• Manage engineering activities supporting new product development, customer programs, proposals, and internal R&D initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop resource plans, staffing strategies, and engineering workload forecasts to support business objectives.
• Oversee acquisition and management of RF test equipment, engineering tools, and laboratory resources.
• Ensure engineering processes comply with quality management standards and industry best practices.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation by advancing RF and mmWave engineering capabilities and supporting the adoption of new technologies.

• Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master s degree preferred).
• 10 years minimum of RF engineering experience (8+ years with a Master s degree).
• 4 years minimum of engineering leadership or people management experience (2+ years with a Master s degree).

• Strong expertise in RF and millimeter-wave (mmWave) design and development.
• Experience leading RF engineering teams supporting complex product development programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability electronics programs.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams through the full product development lifecycle.
• Experience with engineering resource planning, staffing, and laboratory infrastructure management.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and talent development skills.
• Knowledge of ISO quality management systems and engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of delivering complex technical programs.
