Reach and Development Engineer
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Schedule: Full-time, Onsite
Pay Rate: $55.00/hour
Ready to launch your engineering career with an innovative product development team? We're seeking a motivated R&D Engineer I to support product development, process improvement, testing, and engineering projects in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering field.
Experience Requirements- 0-2 years of engineering experience preferred
- Experience supporting product development, manufacturing, or engineering projects is a plus.
- Medical device or regulated industry experience preferred
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Support product development, sustaining engineering, and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with product design, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Analyze engineering data and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Utilize CAD software, including Solid Works, to support design projects.
- Coordinate tooling, fixtures, and test equipment development.
- Investigate technical and manufacturing issues and support corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and cross-functional teams.
- Support engineering change processes and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ability to work onsite in a professional engineering environment
- Ability to use standard office and engineering computer systems throughout the workday
- Solid Works or other CAD software experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, design controls, and risk management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
