Now Hiring: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Carlsbad, CA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Pay Rate: $45.00/hour

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support supplier quality, manufacturing operations, and supply chain performance for a leading medical device organization. This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in supplier engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, and regulated industries who enjoys cross‑functional collaboration and problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support supplier qualification, material validation, and engineering projects.
  • Partner with sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve material and supply chain issues.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for supplier‑related defects.
  • Coordinate supplier change notifications and change impact assessments.
  • Drive supplier process improvements using engineering and quality methodologies.
  • Support material investigations, risk assessments, and quality system requirements.
  • Collaborate with global suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure product quality and continuity of supply.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of Supplier Engineering experience.
  • Medical device industry experience required.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and purchased components.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DFM, statistical methods, and structured problem‑solving.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% globally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with in highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
