We are seeking a results-driven individual to join our growing organization in San Jose, California facility.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on the platform engineering mechanical team in San Jose, CA. This role involves working on current and next-generation mechanical designs of medical instruments. You will be part of a dedicated team, working in a dynamic environment. • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Conduct failure analysis efforts and develop mitigation plans for field and manufacturing related issues.
• Actively engage in external technical community.

• Relevant experience in the mechanical design of computer/network equipment designed to operate in data centers.
• Knowledge of cross-functional design areas such as Interconnects, SI, PCB, EMI, safety, and thermal.
• Actively participating and contributing to industry standard organizations.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
• Ability to balance the needs of a fast-paced start-up environment with the needs for good documentation and quality control.
• Knowledge and competency in application of FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDR, and other regulatory requirements, especially in the area of quality systems and design control as applied to projects from design inception to manufacturing release, is required.

• Expertise in mechanical design, manufacturing, and structural analysis.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering + 2 years of related industry experience or Master’s degree in Engineering and 1+ years of related experience, or PhD Degree.

The salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training.
