The City of Carlsbad is seeking a Communications Operator II to receive, evaluate, and act on emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using a two-way radio console and computer systems.
Under general direction, you will perform complex clerical and emergency tasks, train less experienced staff, maintain records, and coordinate with city departments. This is a rotating shift, including nights and weekends, with POST certification preferred.
