We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team at Park Hyatt Aviara. This position will be a temporary position for the purpose of completing an externship. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on laminated doughs, bread pastries, and a variety of other baked goods. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to producing high-quality baked items, we want to hear from you!

The hourly rate for this position is between $23.00 - $27.00. Decisions regarding individual wages will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

• Must possess a professional presentation
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Takes pride in a great job done
• Prior pastry/baking experience in a commercial operation
• Able to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight
