We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee and enhance our medical device client's technology environment. This individual will lead initiatives involving infrastructure modernization, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, enterprise networking, and end-user support. The role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations while supporting business growth and collaborating across multiple departments.
Qualifications of the IT Infrastructure Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Several years of progressive experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Experience leading technical projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, or similar architectures.
- Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory and identity management solutions.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies.
- Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server administration is a plus.
- Experience developing and implementing cybersecurity best practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of working in medical devices is beneficial.
Responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Manager:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Lead infrastructure improvement initiatives involving networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, and server environments.
- Evaluate business technology needs and recommend scalable solutions.
- Develop and maintain IT standards, policies, and operating procedures related to cybersecurity, acceptable use, data management, backup, and retention.
- Manage infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and technology refresh projects.
- Oversee administration of enterprise networks, remote connectivity, communication platforms, endpoint devices, and collaboration tools.
- Coordinate user onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, and access management.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security while implementing continuous improvements.
- Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support for infrastructure-related issues.
- Coordinate deployment schedules, maintenance windows, and system rollouts with minimal business disruption.
- Produce operational metrics and service performance reports.
- Train end users and promote adoption of technology best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
