Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Buyer Planner to execute purchasing activities and support production and customer demand. The role involves managing purchase orders, maintaining inventory levels, and collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

+ Execute purchasing activities to support production and customer demand.

+ Place and manage purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials.

+ Support material and production planning across approximately 300 part numbers.

+ Monitor demand and inventory levels to help prevent shortages or excess stock.

+ Work closely with Operations and leadership to align supply with production needs.

+ Maintain accurate data in ERP systems including Net Suite and Oracle.

+ Track open orders, lead times, and supplier follow-ups.

+ Use Excel and Microsoft tools to support planning, purchasing, and reporting needs.

+ Assist with continuous improvement of purchasing and planning processes.

+ Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, small company environment.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in supply chain, procurement, and inventory management.

+ Proficiency with Net Suite and Oracle ERP systems.

+ Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Office.

+ Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in supply chain/procurement.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus.

+ Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing organization with start-up vibes.

Work Environment

The office is located in Carlsbad, with work hours from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. While the role is onsite, candidates can live anywhere within a reasonable commuting area. The company is family-owned with a team of 25 employees, fostering a great culture and supportive environment. The production team is mostly bilingual in English/Spanish. The manufacturing/assembly area is located on the second floor, requiring the use of stairs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
