We are looking for a Purchasing/Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role ensures all food items received meet the approved criteria established by the Food and Beverage/Purchasing Departments. The available positions are full time.

Overview

This team member will conduct thorough inspections of every delivery to ascertain proper specifications and determine acceptability.

Responsibilities
  • Check shipment against Daily Order Sheet and invoice to verify quantity, price, quality state, size, count, weight tolerance, and acceptable expiration date.
  • Fill out an error correction in duplicate, ensure proper credit for discrepancies, and notify the Storeroom Supervisor of shortages for replacement.
  • If shipment is correct, timestamp and sign the driver’s and hotel’s copies of the invoice, place the hotel stamp on the front side of the invoice and sign next to “Received By.”
  • For shipments received with a delivery slip or memo invoice, follow the same procedure and fill out a “goods received without invoice” form after inspection.
  • Submit a daily progress report to Purchasing for outstanding deliveries.
  • Direct traffic of all incoming items until they are properly dated, priced, labeled or tagged. Pricing is to be done by the Receiving Agent, Storeroom Manager or Assistant Purchasing Manager only. All items will be priced as purchased (per each, per pound, per case).
  • Label all incoming bread and bakery deliveries for outlet or banquet function.
  • Conduct random spot‑checks of all perishable items to ensure proper storage and packaging, protecting against quality loss due to temperature exposure, improper rotation, etc.
  • Assist and direct inventory documentation with the Storeroom Manager as necessary.
  • Assist in filling requisitions and maintaining sanitation daily.
  • Assist in conducting end‑of‑month physical inventory.
  • Perform any other duties as required by management.
Qualifications
  • Flexible to work AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to handle repeated lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic computer operation and effective communication skills.
