Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager — Polymer (West Coast) owns the supply chain function across ADDMAN’s three polymer sites:
Carlsbad, Irvine, and Fort Myers. This role is responsible for directing and overseeing supply chain, purchasing, OSP, supplier management, and inventory functions across ADDMAN’s Carlsbad, Irvine, and Fort Myers polymer sites. The position leads and develops supply chain personnel, establishes priorities and performance expectations, and develops strategies that support production, cost, quality, inventory, and business objectives.

This role is responsible for directing and overseeing supply chain, purchasing, OSP, supplier management, and inventory functions across ADDMAN’s Carlsbad, Irvine, and Fort Myers polymer sites. The position leads and develops supply chain personnel, establishes priorities and performance expectations, and develops strategies that support production, cost, quality, inventory, and business objectives. The role exercises independent judgment in supplier selection, sourcing, inventory, cost management, OSP capacity, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
The position may provide limited hands‑on purchasing support when necessary for business continuity or unusual business demands; however, the primary responsibility is management, oversight, and strategic direction of the supply chain function.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead, direct, and develop the supply chain and buying personnel across the three polymer sites.
- Participate in and make recommendations regarding hiring, selection, promotion, compensation, performance management, corrective action, and termination of employees, with responsibility for evaluating employee performance and making personnel recommendations to senior leadership.
- Direct and oversee the organization's supply chain, purchasing, outside processing, and inventory management functions for the West Coast polymer business unit, with responsibility for establishing objectives, developing processes, allocating resources, and ensuring operational effectiveness across assigned sites.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of substantial importance, including supplier selection, sourcing strategy, purchasing priorities, inventory strategy, supplier performance, cost reduction initiatives, OSP capacity planning, risk mitigation, and allocation of supply chain resources.
- Evaluate competing priorities, business risks, costs, operational requirements, and supplier capabilities and make recommendations or decisions that materially affect supply chain operations and business performance.
- Set priorities, assign work, and hold the team accountable for purchasing, OSP coordination, and inventory outcomes.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide input on hiring, advancement, and corrective action for direct reports.
- Directly manage and oversee supply chain and buying personnel across the three polymer sites, including establishing priorities, assigning work, directing day‑to‑day activities, monitoring performance, providing coaching and development, and ensuring accountability for department objectives.
- Exercise independent judgment in determining staffing priorities, work assignments, resource allocation, workflow, and operational priorities across the assigned sites.
- Build a consistent way of working across sites that currently operate independently; standardize purchasing, OSP, and inventory practices.
