The Director, OGIO & Performance Gear – Commercial Strategy is responsible for driving profitable growth, market expansion, and brand leadership for OGIO and Performance Gear across core golf, special markets, strategic accounts, and partnerships. This role owns the end-to-end commercial strategy for the category, including sales planning, key account leadership, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional execution, while ensuring alignment with product strategy, brand positioning, and financial objectives.
Serving as the commercial steward for OGIO and Performance Gear, the role balances deep category expertise with senior-level relationship management and hands-on leadership to translate brand and product vision into measurable revenue, margin, and market share growth.
** ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Own and lead the commercial strategy for OGIO and Performance Gear, driving profitable growth across core golf, special markets, strategic accounts, and partnerships.
* Collaborate with executive leadership to establish annual and long-range revenue, margin, and growth objectives for OGIO and Performance Gear.
* Develop and execute sell-in, sell-through, and end-of-life strategies aligned to product lifecycle, inventory health, and brand standards.
* Serve as the senior relationship owner for complex, high-impact customers, developing joint business plans that align customer objectives with OGIO brand and financial goals.
* Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that expand OGIO and Performance Gear revenue, visibility, and brand credibility.
* Lead partnership strategy, contract negotiations, and performance measurement to ensure partnerships deliver measurable value and margin growth
* Partner with Finance and Planning to lead revenue, margin, and unit forecasting, as well as budgeting and pricing assumptions for the category.
* Monitor account-level and program profitability and recommend corrective actions or strategic exits when necessary.
* Act as the primary commercial voice for OGIO and Performance Gear, partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Planning, Sales Operations, and Customer Service to ensure aligned execution.
* Support product launches, sales training, category messaging, and merchandising standards to ensure consistent brand representation across channels.
** TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
*** Deep understanding of performance gear, accessories, and category-led commercial strategy.
* Proven ability to achieve revenue, margin, and market share growth.
* Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into executable commercial plans.
* Excellent financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and profitability management.
* Executive-level account and partnership management skills, including negotiation and influence.
* Fact-based, data-driven decision maker with a pragmatic view of the marketplace.
* Effective people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation development and public speaking.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and navigate complex organizational environments.

** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
*** Minimum 5-7 years of progressive sales or commercial leadership experience
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
* Experience leading category-focused or product-led sales organizations
