Cleanroom Production Operator

This role supports cleanroom manufacturing operations by assembling cartridges and reagent kit components in accordance with cGMP and ISO standards. You will follow detailed manufacturing SOPs, operate production line equipment, and complete manufacturing work orders accurately and on schedule. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work both independently and as part of an assembly line team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-organized cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities
  • Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO standards or guidelines as they apply to manufacturing activities.
  • Assemble cartridges and reagent kit components with consistent quality and accuracy.
  • Adhere to and execute manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all assigned tasks.
  • Organize and maintain the production floor area, tools, and supplies used during work to ensure a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively as part of an assembly line team.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, particularly when working with chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate all manufacturing line equipment required for cleanroom production.
  • Resolve basic line issues, escalate problems when necessary, and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Follow the manufacturing schedule and complete manufacturing work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review completed device manufacturing records and work orders, identify and correct errors, and submit finished documentation for quality release.
  • Serve as a role model for cGMP-compliant manufacturing practices and cleanroom discipline.
  • Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in production, assembly, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to follow detailed manufacturing SOPs and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with cGMP practices in a manufacturing setting.
  • Comfort working in a cleanroom environment and following strict cleanliness and contamination control procedures.
  • Ability to operate manufacturing line equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail for reviewing device manufacturing records and work orders.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of an assembly line team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment when handling chemicals and equipment.
  • Basic organizational skills to maintain floor area and supplies in an orderly manner.

You will work in a cleanroom production environment that requires adherence to strict cleanliness, contamination control, and safety procedures. The role is based on a 1st shift schedule within a large, newly built facility equipped with manufacturing line equipment for assembling cartridges and reagent kit components. You will handle chemicals and operate production machinery, following cGMP, ISO standards, and SOPs at all times.

The environment emphasizes organization of the floor area and supplies, careful documentation, and teamwork on an assembly line, with an expectation of professional, cleanroom-appropriate attire consistent with controlled environment requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.16/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
