Chemical Technician

Lab Technician

Sirius Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join a chemical manufacturing team in Carlsbad, CA.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (PST)

Summary:

This position supports the processing, refurbishment, testing, and packaging of high-purity chemical vessels used in semiconductor and advanced manufacturing applications.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process returned chemical containers and vessels.
• Perform manual and automated vessel decontamination and cleaning.
• Conduct acid washing of stainless steel and quartz vessels.
• Fill vessels with ultra-pure chemicals according to manufacturing procedures.
• Safely handle chemicals including acids, acetone, and isopropyl alcohol (IPA).
• Consolidate and properly dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with company and environmental regulations.
• Assemble and rebuild vessels using engineering drawings, work instructions, and hand tools.
• Inspect completed vessels, components, and documentation for quality and accuracy.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate production records using SAP and other manufacturing systems.
• Assist with unloading inbound shipments and receiving materials.
• Support Engineering with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and process issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment while following all PPE and safety requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or industrial production.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals.
• Experience working with:
  • Acids
  • Acetone
  • Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA)
• SAP experience.
• Experience using LIMS systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, SharePoint).
• Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS), work instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand tools and performing mechanical assembly.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear a full-face air-purifying respirator and required PPE.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Basic computer skills.
