Position: URGENT HIRING!!! MACHINE OPERATOR-$20-22/hr. 12hrs Shift-1st Shift Available

Dye Operator – Additive Manufacturing

The Dye Operator safely and efficiently processes additive manufacturing parts through all stages of the dyeing operation while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. Working as part of a two-person production team, this role is cross-trained to perform preparation, dyeing, rinsing, drying, inspection, documentation, and packaging in accordance with established Standard Work and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Process production work orders using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to maintain workflow and traceability.
  • Load, wash, prepare, dye, rinse, dry, inspect, and package parts strictly following Standard Work and operating procedures.
  • Verify dye bath parameters before processing each batch and perform bath refreshes as required to maintain process consistency.
  • Operate automatic washers, dye tanks, rinse stations, drying equipment, and related production equipment safely and correctly.
  • Maintain accurate batch documentation and traceability throughout all stages of the dyeing process.
  • Inspect parts for color consistency, surface quality, and overall finish, identifying and addressing any nonconformities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety guidelines.
  • Report quality issues, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns promptly to support continuous improvement and safe operations.
  • Work effectively and cooperatively with other operators to meet daily and weekly production goals.
  • Perform other related production and finishing duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, finishing, coating, dyeing, or machine operation (preferred).
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a clear commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and process checks.
  • Basic documentation skills to complete batch records and production forms.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Comfort working in a production environment and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to safely handle small production parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with general production practices and machine operation.
  • Ability to perform basic quality control checks on finished parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in finishing or coating operations, such as blasting, dyeing, or similar processes.
  • Experience using hand tools in a production or finishing environment.
  • Ability to interpret or work from simple blueprints or visual work instructions.
  • BG in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing setting.
  • Comfort working around automated equipment and industrial machinery.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing environment that supports additive manufacturing and dyeing operations. You work around nylon powder, heated dye baths, cleaning chemicals, dust, black dye splashes, noise, and industrial equipment.
