About This Position Electronic Technician – This position is tasked with troubleshooting and repairing electronic test and measurement equipment, with an emphasis on Tektronix. We're looking for someone passionate and energetic who thrives working as part of a team — and isn't shy about pulling up a chair at the team barbecue.

Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, inspects, and repairs a wide variety of electronic test and measurement equipment, with a focus on oscilloscopes and waveform generators.
- Recognizes failures and setup problems, isolate problems, and take appropriate action to resolve those problems.
- Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
- Ensures escalation of issues if repairs become problematic or lengthy.
- Provides support to the Calibration Laboratory and Sales Team on all production assignments and works with other departments for miscellaneous assignments.
- Troubleshoots electronic components to determine cause and remedy of any malfunction.
- Ensures that all repairs meet manufactures specifications and exceeds Avalon's quality standards.
- Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles. Collects diagnostic information needed and enters it into our tracking software.
- Cleans, re-labels and re-packages equipment in relation to the above activities.
- Fabrication for repair of instruments needed.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Ohms law and electronic theory.
- Experience in through hole and surface mount soldering.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing Tektronix oscilloscopes.
- A passionate, energetic attitude and a genuine love of working as part of a team.
Education Associate Degree Required
- Minimum of an Associate degree in an electronic discipline preferred.
