The Manufacturing Operator performs hands-on production activities that support Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows, including reagent preparation, equipment setup, in-process checks, and batch documentation. This role follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMP/ISO guidelines to maintain high quality standards, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules on a 1st shift schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• Execute routine NGS manufacturing tasks such as buffer and reagent formulation, component assembly, and kit packaging in strict accordance with SOPs and GMP/ISO guidelines.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment to ensure consistent and reliable performance, including performing basic troubleshooting and routine cleaning.
• Complete accurate and timely batch records, logs, and electronic inventory transactions to support lot release and traceability requirements.
• Perform in-process checks and inspections to verify product quality and compliance with established specifications.
• Handle materials safely, including lifting up to 40 pounds repeatedly and managing inventory within a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices to ensure all records are complete, legible, and compliant with regulatory and internal standards.
• Adhere at all times to safety, quality, and compliance requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleanroom practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency, and product quality.
• Communicate status updates, issues, and handoffs clearly and effectively to colleagues and cross-functional teams, including across shifts.
• Work effectively in a metrics-focused environment, meeting production goals and contributing to overall operational performance.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support successful project and production outcomes.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in manufacturing, biotechnology, or laboratory environments.
• Ability to follow written procedures and SOPs accurately and consistently.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to high-quality work.
• Basic computer skills, including use of electronic records and inventory systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong laboratory mathematical skills to support accurate measurements, calculations, and documentation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear documentation and effective teamwork.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Capability to lift up to 40 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of material handling.
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour period and perform repetitive tasks with good manual dexterity.
• Experience working in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with SOPs, GMP, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Proven ability to work in a metrics-focused environment while maintaining quality and compliance.

• Experience in production, cleanroom operations, packaging, inventory management, and line assembly.
• Experience in medical device, biotech, or related regulated manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with inspection activities and machine operation in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated ability to operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
• Demonstrated experience as a team player supporting successful project or production teams.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented approach to managing tasks and documentation.
• Highly motivated and dedicated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Comfort working in a structured environment with defined metrics, processes, and quality standards.
