Engineering Technician - 1st Shift
We are seeking a dedicated engineering technician to support our main assembly and production line. The role involves building complete machines from subassemblies, performing calibration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting, and acting as a bridge between production associates and engineering. This position requires a hands-on approach and offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers on electro-mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support the main assembly and production line.
- Build complete machines from subassemblies.
- Perform calibration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Act as a bridge between production associates and engineering.
- Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures with limited oversight.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
- Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.
- Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Assist in design, construction, testing, and checkout of test equipment.
- Use manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
Essential skills:
- Strong electro-mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
- Troubleshooting skills with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable running calibration, testing, burn-in, and integration activities.
Additional skills & qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant technician or assembly experience preferred.
- Experience assembling and building complete machines or systems.
- Component-level troubleshooting experience (helpful, but not required).
- Degree is not required.

- This is an onsite role in a manufacturing and engineering lab environment. You will frequently engage in hands-on work with electrical systems, moving mechanical parts, and prototype equipment. The position involves occasional lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance and exposure to electrical hazards and manufacturing equipment, with appropriate safety training provided. The work schedule is 1st shift, from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday-Friday, with 10-hour days and overtime available.

Pay and benefits:
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
