Job Duties- Lead and coordinate daily carbon fiber/composite production activities to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
- Assign daily tasks and provide direction to production associates based on workload and priorities.
- Train and mentor employees on carbon fiber layup, vacuum bagging, bonding, trimming, sanding, finishing, and other composite manufacturing processes.
- Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to established procedures.
- Ensure aerospace components are manufactured according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform and oversee preparation of molds, materials, resins, adhesives, and tooling used in composite manufacturing.
- Inspect in-process and completed carbon fiber components for wrinkles, voids, delamination, dimensional issues, surface defects, and other nonconformances.
- Verify production travelers, work orders, material documentation, and required manufacturing records are completed accurately.
- Troubleshoot production issues and escalate go quality, equipment, or material concerns to supervisors, engineering, or Quality as needed.
