Labeling Specialist

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Labeling Specialist for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Carlsbad, CA. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

This role is part of a team responsible for the optimization of product labeling processes and systems, focusing on data accuracy, template standardization, and compliance with quality management systems and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, investigate data discrepancies, and facilitate label document updates.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure labeling compliance with quality management system (QMS), regulatory requirements, and guidelines
• Provide direct support for ongoing updates, including hazard communication and regulatory compliance projects
• Initiate change orders for new and revised labels using the Electronic Documentation Management System
• Identify issues with label template design to promote standardization and optimization
• Comply with document change control process and coordinate the initiation, approval, and completion of Change Orders
• Utilize multiple systems to gather data to support change orders to update bill of materials, batch records, and labels
• Work closely with team members to prioritize workload and coordinate data reviews and modifications
• Utilize lean methodology and problem-solving tools to support continuous improvement activities
• Present timelines for project tasks and clearly communicate progress updates
• Utilize Excel for mass data analysis and uploads to the document management system

Requirements:

• Ability to learn fast and problem-solving experience
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Moderate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, summaries, relationships, etc.)
• Aptitude for learning new technical software, such as a quality management system
• Ability to work independently on new and on-going assignments
• Detail-oriented, consistent, dependable, and accurate
• Proactive approach that anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to influence others without authority

Pay range: $32.00 per hour
