PositionSummary
At Castelli, we aim to provide world-class customer service to build strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers. The inside sales position works closely with Castelli's territory sales representatives and bike specialty retail accounts across the US. The position's objectives are to build strong relationships through excellent service and to help ensure the company's financial goals are met by supporting seasonal sales campaigns and facilitating accurate, on-time order deliveries.
This position is in-office in Carlsbad, CA.
Order Management
- Collect, enter, allocate, and revise customer orders as necessary.
- Ensure all orders are entered accurately according to customer-specific terms of sale, pricing, freight, and applicable sales programs.
- Process order changes, cancellations, splits, revisions, and other order maintenance requests.
- Work with field sales representatives, customers, and internal teams to ensure orders are processed and shipped on time.
Account & Customer Support
- Manage and support a portfolio of specialty retail accounts across the U.S.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for retailer orders, product availability, account questions, and sales support.
- Respond to customer email inquiries.
- Field incoming customer phone calls from customers.
- Support retailers through the B2B ordering platform and assist with account/order-related issues.
Sales Support & At-Once Sales
- Manage at-once sales opportunities by identifying available inventory and recommending products based on customer needs.
- Leverage product knowledge and account history to identify additional sales opportunities.
- Support field sales representatives with account information, product availability, and order needs.
- Assist with seasonal product launches and communicate relevant product and order information to retailers and sales representatives.
Seasonal Orders & Forecasting
- Manage seasonal pre-book orders and assist with order revisions, allocations, and confirmations.
- Help create monthly shipment forecasts based on open orders, pre-books, inventory availability, and anticipated demand.
- Monitor order volume and inventory availability to identify potential fulfillment issues.
New Customer Setup
- Review dealer applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Establish new customer accounts in the appropriate systems.
- Set up customer terms, pricing, freight, and sales representative information.
Warranty Processing
- Review submitted warranty claims for completeness and eligibility.
- Create and ship replacement orders for approved claims.
- Communicate warranty status and resolution to customers and/or sales representatives.
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and account information within internal systems.
- Monitor sales and order reports to identify outstanding orders and account needs.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the sales team as needed.
- 2+ years of inside sales and/or custom service experience.
- Knowledge of and interest in the cycling, sports, or outdoor industries .
- Experience in a customer service role for a B2B business; familiarity with Hub Spot and Business Central.
- Experience in Excel, including Lookup functionality, pivot tables, and basic tables.
- Ability to read and interpret questions through email. Ability to speak effectively on the phone with customers, and enjoys interacting with customers to create an enjoyable experience.
