Personal Banker Associate

• Complete a 4–8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service
• Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to identify customer financial needs
• Maintain knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions
• Use CAMP and approved marketing tools to reach customers and set financial review appointments
• Cross-sell to existing customers and participate in outside sales activities
• Establish relationships with Business Partners and refer customers for holistic financial solutions
• Meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes
• Answer customer questions and own customer issues
• Process teller transactions and work as a member of the platform staff
• Open and service Retail products, including participating in consumer loan and bankcard processes
• Participate in Financial Center or Bank Mart opening and closing procedures
• Follow policies and procedures to mitigate fraud and risk
• Maintain customer confidentiality and ethical behavior

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or combination of education and experience
• Experience in the financial industry preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers
• Understanding of advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in appearance and verbal/written communication
• Ability to develop working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures
• S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
• Ability to travel within the affiliate for training
• Scheduling flexibility
• Travel outside of the affiliate for classroom training sessions

Demonstrates expertise in consultative sales processes and financial needs assessments while maintaining a strong understanding of retail consumer and small business products. Capable of building relationships with business partners and providing exceptional customer service to meet production goals.
