Job Overview
Perform specific duties and tasks related to site security operations and initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, general security functions that aid in providing a safe and secure workspace for Taylor Made employees, contractors, guests, and visitors, as well as protection of company assets, intellectual property, and proprietary information.
This includes the use of physical and electronic security measures as directed by management, supporting workplace violence prevention, situational awareness, and emergency preparedness efforts across the site.
Duties also include staffing the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) to provide real‑time monitoring of security systems, dispatch, and incident response coordination in support of site‑wide security operations. Security officers are required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies, procedures and guidelines related to security, job safety, including safety rules and regulations and report anything not in compliance to management.
Key Responsibilities- Perform responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all post orders, standard operating guidelines, and directives are followed and established duties and tasks are carried out.
- Assist and support contract security personnel assigned to the site as requested by management.
- Assist Site Security Lead with training of contract security officers and other company personnel as requested by security management.
- Perform secondary duties and tasks assigned by security management.
- Assist with safety initiatives as assigned by security management.
- Assist with management of access control, video surveillance, visitor management, and integrated security platforms, including mobile credentials and cloud‑based systems, as directed by security management.
- Staff the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) on assigned shifts and provide continuous monitoring of video surveillance, access control alarms, intrusion detection, duress & panic alarms, environmental alerts, and other integrated security systems to support 24/7 site operations.
- Assess events and alarms in real time, follow PSOC post orders and standard operating guidelines to initiate appropriate response, and dispatch on‑site security personnel, facilities staff, and external emergency services as needed.
- Maintain clear and timely communications between field officers, management, and external responders via radio, phone, intercom, and mass notification systems; serve as the central point of contact for security‑related communications during assigned shifts.
- Accurately document all events, alarms, dispatches, and actions taken in the incident reporting system; maintain daily activity logs, shift turnover reports, and after‑action summaries as directed by security management.
- Conduct routine checks and verification tests of PSOC equipment (video walls, radios, intercoms, alarm panels, mass notification, and dispatch tools); monitor weather alerts, travel advisories, and threat notification feeds, and elevate relevant information to security management and impacted stakeholders.
- Staff security office, main lobby, and other posts as directed by security management.
- Staff lobby/reception station upon request or when assigned.
- Support workplace violence prevention, situational awareness, and emergency response efforts, including evacuation, shelter‑in‑place, and active threat protocols as directed by security management.
- Maintain awareness of insider threat and information protection practices; promptly report suspicious activity, tailgating, social engineering attempts, or other security concerns to security management.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
- Familiarity with corporate policies and practices related to physical security, investigations, loss prevention, guard force operations and management.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations under conditions of urgency or high pressure.
