As a Security Officer Unarmed Part Time Patrol Driver in Carlsbad, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will also support a welcoming environment through strong communication, teamwork, integrity, and customer service.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and sharing updates with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support property rules, assist with crowd and/or line management, and address routine questions from the public.
• Complete routine reports on patrol activity, incidents, and/or maintenance-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site management and fellow team members.

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
