Senior Backend Engineer - Node.js, GraphQL, Boot

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js, GraphQL, and Java/Kotlin (Spring Boot)
• Build and maintain responsive, performant frontend applications using React
• Optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and reliability
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews
• Mentor junior engineers and champion engineering best practices
• Partner with product managers to define requirements and delivery timelines
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the full stack

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• 5 – 10 years of front end / back end and database experience required
• Proficiency in Node.js and server-side Java Script
• Backend experience with Java and/or Kotlin, including Spring Boot
• Expert knowledge of GraphQL, including schema design and performance optimization
• Advanced React experience, including state management and performance tuning
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design
• Strong grasp of software design patterns and engineering principles
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and debugging skills
• Prisma ORM, JPA, and database migrations – preferred
• Dev Ops and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) – preferred
• CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks – preferred
