Pacific Coast Construction and Waterproofing Inc is seeking a highly organized and dependable Shop Manager to oversee warehouse operations, manage company tools and equipment, maintain trailers and shop assets, and provide logistical support to our field teams. This role is essential to keeping our projects running efficiently by ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are properly maintained, tracked, and delivered when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool & Equipment Management:
    Manage and maintain the company’s tool warehouse and storage areas.
  • Tool sign-out/sign-in procedures:
    Implement and oversee tool sign-out and sign-in procedures.
  • Tool tracking:
    Track tool assignments and monitor which employees have company-owned equipment.
  • Tool inspection:
    Inspect returned tools to verify proper functionality and completeness.
  • Accessories management:
    Ensure all accessories (batteries, chargers, attachments, cases, etc.) are returned.
  • Tool loss reporting:
    Report missing, damaged, or unreturned tools to management.
  • Tool maintenance:
    Perform minor repairs and maintenance on tools.
  • Tool replacement:
    Coordinate replacement of damaged or non-repairable tools with management approval.
  • Warehouse Organization & Oversight:
    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse at all times.
  • Safety and accessibility:
    Keep aisles clear and ensure all areas remain easily accessible.
  • Organization:
    Organize tools and materials in clearly labeled, designated areas.
  • Inventory monitoring:
    Monitor inventory levels of consumable materials.
  • Audits:
    Assist with periodic inventory audits and reporting.
  • Fleet & Equipment Maintenance:
    Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on dump trailers.
  • Safety and compliance:
    Ensure trailers remain safe, operational, and properly registered.
  • Repairs:
    Report mechanical issues requiring professional repair.
  • Shop upkeep:
    Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of all shop equipment.
  • Operations:
    Perform scheduled dump runs, transporting debris from job sites to approved disposal facilities.
  • Delivery:
    Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites as needed.
  • Delivery verification:
    Verify delivery accuracy and obtain receipts when required.
  • Material handling:
    Assist with safe loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
  • Field Support (As Needed):
    Support construction crews during slower warehouse periods.
  • Site cleanup:
    Assist with jobsite cleanup, debris removal, and material organization.
  • Demolition support:
    Support demolition tasks as directed by the Project Manager or Superintendent.
  • Staging & unloading:
    Help stage tools and unload materials at active job sites.
  • Safety:
    Maintain consistent safety standards both onsite and in the warehouse.
  • Coordination:
    Coordinate field support with management to ensure warehouse operations remain uninterrupted.
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, construction, tool management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform basic tool repairs and maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to safely operate company vehicles and trailers.
  • Ability to lift, load, and transport materials and equipment as required.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and accountability of company assets.

Pay: $25 – $35 per hour, depending on experience
