Job Duties- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
- Identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations accurately.
- Use RF scanners, warehouse management systems, or inventory software to support inventory movement and tracking.
- Maintain constant awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures to help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.
- 2+ years of experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
- Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
- Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
- Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
- Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
