Brief Description
This employee will perform clerical support services for the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office in Carlsbad and the Artesia Sub-Office. The Records Clerk will enter reports, records, and civil documentation in support of law enforcement activities. The job will require a variety of typing ranging from hand‑written letters, to brief instructions or directions, to composing letters from own knowledge of a situation or from file information.
Required documentation compositions may include memos and transcriptions, in addition to other interdepartmental correspondence. Employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision and may be required to work irregular hours, attend job related meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Driving Record – Dated within the last 30 days.
- Waiver – Printed, completed, and notarized.
- Veteran’s Form – Printed, completed, and uploaded.
- Personal Integrity Questionnaire (PIQ) – Printed and filled out; submit with the application.
Applicants will have 5 days from the date of Application and PIQ Submission to submit ALL REQUIRED documents.
Salary Range$23.18 - $25.58 per hour DOE.
