We are seeking an experienced Distribution Construction Superintendent to oversee field execution of electric distribution construction activities in the Delaware Basin. This position is responsible for coordinating crews and contractors while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
This role requires hands on field leadership and experience supporting construction of electrical distribution infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and support construction activities for electric distribution projects
- Manage contractor safety, field performance, work progress, and completion activities
- Lead field crews and support execution of daily construction operations
- Perform field inspections and document findings to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
- Monitor installation of distribution lines and associated electrical equipment
- Support scheduling and prioritization of work to meet project deadlines
- Coordinate job site readiness and required permitting activities
- Provide field support during design and construction phases
- Review post construction material reconciliation and as built documentation
- Support project delivery and achievement of permanent in service dates
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project continuity
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures and construction standards
- Completion of a qualified apprenticeship program
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading electric distribution construction crews
- Experience coordinating contractor activities and field execution
- Experience with distribution systems up to 25kV and exposure to transmission systems up to 115kV
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and construction packages
- Experience working independently in complex field environments
- Utility, industrial, energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, or large capital project environments
- Experience supporting construction schedules and field issue resolution
- Familiarity with right of way requirements and permitting activities
- Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NESC, DOT, and CFR requirements
- Understanding of electric distribution construction methods and equipment
- Ability to identify and address safety concerns in active construction environments
- Truck allowance or company-provided vehicle available
