Registered Dental Hygienist; RDH

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our private practice in south Carlsbad on Thursday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, patient assessment, and effective communication skills to educate patients on oral hygiene.

• $60 - $65 per hour

Salary based on Experience.

• Monday to Friday

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

• License & Certification:
  Licensed dental hygienist

Proficient in patient assessment and general dentistry practices.

Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.

Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques and aseptic protocols.

Ability to take vital signs and perform documentation review effectively.

Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records.

Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and hygiene needs.
• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, while utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Take and document vital signs as part of the patient evaluation process.
• Review and update patient documentation accurately in compliance with dental office protocols.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventative care strategies.
• Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the dental clinic.
