Special Education Teacher – $42/hr – Carlsbad, NM – In-Person – 12 Weeks Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher provides individualized academic and behavioral support to K–12 students under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. This role includes delivering specialized instruction, supporting IEP goals, providing case management, documenting student progress, and collaborating with general education staff to promote meaningful inclusion and student success.

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: $40–$42/hour (based on degree level)

Details Of Assignment- Special education teaching and case management responsibilities
- Supporting students with a range of academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
- Virtual interview required with Special Education leadership
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs
- Manage caseload responsibilities including documentation and progress reporting
- Deliver small-group and individualized support across academic and behavioral domains
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Facilitate accommodations, modifications, and student access to curriculum
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and professional standards
- Active New Mexico PED Special Education License (required)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working in special education settings preferred
- CPR certification if required
- TB screening and health certificate per state guidelines
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
